<aside> ⚡ This boost shows how you can use Javascript (and a little bit of CSS) to build a new feature into a website. It removes the Trending sidebar on Twitter, and replaces it with a little bit of text gently reminding you how many times you’ve visited the website today.

How to create this Boost

  1. Visit twitter.com, the site we’re boosting.
  2. Press the + button and select New Boost
  3. Choose the Replace template
  4. When asked, What do you want to boost?, choose Specific Website and enter twitter.com
  5. Now you’re in the Boost editor, editing content.js. This is Javascript code that will be run whenever you visit a page on twitter.com
  6. Finally, we want to add a little bit of CSS to change what our new element looks like. In the Boost toolbar, press the + in the top-right corner of the editor. Choose Content Stylesheet.
  7. And that’s it! You’ve created a boost. Now it’s time to make it your own: customize the Boost to look, and behave, just how you’d want. Happy boosting 🙂

<aside> 🧩 Once you’ve created a Boost, you can edit or delete it from the Extensions Puzzle menu in the top right corner of Arc’s top bar.
