How do I sync across devices?

We know you might browse on a few different devices. Arc stay in sync on all of them!

1. Update Arc (Arc → “Check for Updates...” from the Mac menu bar)
2. Open Preferences (⌘ ,)
3. Check “Keep Sidebar in sync via iCloud”
4. Restart Arc.

🚨 You need to repeat these steps on every device and ensure each device is on the same version of Arc to activate and maintain sync.

If you’d like to try something while you wait for help, restoring an old sidebar is easy and reliable.

You can restore an old sidebar state by clicking "Help" -> "Restore Data" in the Mac menu bar and selecting a sidebar file with a timestamp prior to when you synced.

How does syncing work?

Syncing works through iCloud, where all sidebar data is stored. iCloud is managed by Apple, ensuring that your data is secure!

• In order to sync you’ll need to be signed into the same Arc account and Apple ID on each device.
• When syncing is enabled, we merge sidebars so nothing gets deleted.
• If iCloud isn’t enabled, your sidebar is just stored on your computer.
